☽ Got his name from a sea shanty about "Mollymawks" in the Lucidian Ocean. While he was still mute, the group stayed in a tavern run by a former sailor who sang the shanty every hour. Toya caught on and began singing along and eventually "MT" joined in- it was the first time he'd ever spoken. Gustav saw it as an auspicious sign.
☽ His name is also relevant to the story of The Stormlord and the Captain (an Exandrian take on The Rime of the Ancient Mariner), wherein a captain prayed to the Stormlord for safe passage and was followed by an albatross. When the captain had a choice between sailing into inclement weather or going around the storm, the captain decided the storm was the sign he was looking for and commanded the crew to sail into it. The pursuing albatross proceeded to distract the crew and keep them from making the heading until the captain shot the albatross with a crossbow. Not realizing the albatross was his sign, he had angered Kord and as his ship was dashed upon the waves in a horrific storm, the captain tied the albatross around his neck and begged forgiveness. Due to this story, albatrosses are considered lesser known symbols of the Stormlord.

☽ First demonstrated his Blood Hunter abilities after bandits got passed Ornna and Bo and made it into the tent he, Gustav, Mona, and Yuli were hunkered in. He grabbed a prop sword, lit it up, and went for the kill on pure instinct. He expected to be sent away after that, but Gustav assured him they would keep an eye out.
